Handkerchiefs are a simple product on the surface, but fabric choice still matters for softness, absorbency and how they hold up to repeated washing.
Common Handkerchief Fabrics
- Cotton: soft, breathable and highly absorbent. The most common choice, and gets softer with washing.
- Cotton-polyester blend: more wrinkle-resistant and quicker-drying than pure cotton, with a slightly lower absorbency.
- Linen: lightweight and highly absorbent, with a distinctive crisp texture. Wrinkles more easily than cotton.
